POSITION SUMMARY:
Looking for local candidates willing to work in the Greensboro, NC in Summer May - Aug
Support the revenue objectives of the company through best-in-class event coordination and administrative support.
Responsibilities
Event Planning
- Assist with pre-event coordination including communicating schedule of shows, identifying on site need for booth, premiums, contests, and collateral, scheduling booth, and shipping items needed and preparing attendees. Also, assist with coordinating logistics, travel, planning, and budget as needed.
- Lead trade show logistics calls and post-event calls as needed.
- Assist with post event coordination including being present on conference calls for feedback, evaluating performance against goals, and coordinating the distribution of any thought leadership content from workshops or sessions.
- Coordinate with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during event planning process.
- Assist with virtual events / webinars including developing landing pages, websites, and registrations.
- Update Icon agenda site and confidential site updates in Drupel.
- Work with conference speakers for their bios, headshots, and send thank you gifts.
Administrative Skills
- Database management (Cvent, Drupel and Salesforce).
- Assist with follow up mailings or surveys to future, current and past Icon/Elite attendees.
- Maintaining post-event websites.
- Developing post-event surveys.
- Maintain Marketing closet and ordering promotional materials.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Knowledge of basic marketing principles, processes, and methods.
- Proven ability to support successful, high-impact company events for customers and prospects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working in fast-paced environment requiring organization skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of or ability to learn Cvent registration software and Salesforce CRM.
- Highly effective and articulate verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to assist customers and prospects, including written materials and graphic materials.
- Strong project management skills.
- Software and Technology Skills:
- Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Word, Excel (proficiency required)
- Salesforce (desired)
- Cvent (desired)
- Conference planning, program development and logistics skills.
- Ability to build and nurture internal relationships with Sales/Business Development/Senior Management, peers, and other department staff and management. As well as apexanalytix clients and potential clients.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple assignments.
- Ability to work independently.
- Capable of working with internal and external teams and partners.
- Experience coordinating events and trade shows a plus.
- Familiarity with event registration software a plus.
- Ability to work under strict deadlines required.
Education Levels/Credentials (Degree types and Emphasis):
- Working towards a BA or BS in Event Planning, Tourism, Business Management, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or equivalent experience in a related area.
- Experience in coordinating events and trade shows.
Work Environment (Physical/Remote):
Onsite, Greensboro, NC - within 20 miles, 5 days a week
