The successful candidate will under close or moderate supervision, perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and directing civil engineering projects such as roads, railroads, airports, bridges, channels, pipelines, site development, drainage, and water and sewage systems. Sponsorship not available for this position.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesOperate equipment to locate subsurface utilitiesMark underground utilitiesOperate vacuum excavation truck to expose underground utilitiesLearn to interpret roadway and utility plans, and utility record drawingsNonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assignedRequired SkillsComputer proficiency including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, other design softwareValid Drivers License is requiredRequired ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentTraining will be providedWorking ConditionsWork is performed in the field 95% of the time. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed. Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.Work is performed within a general office environment 5% of the time. Office work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking.
