HOLLAND, MI - The Shawl is a story that is both vivid and disturbing. But it paints a picture of the horrors of war and of reality. People may not be accustomed to hearing such vivid scenes of what happened during the holocaust but without stories like this the reality and tragedy of the events would never be realized.

HOLLAND, MI - People are looking less and less at the world news. We don’t care nearly as much about the tribal wars between the Hutu’s and the Tutsi’s as we do about our celebrities—but why? We are stuck in our own culture and don’t want to see what is going on in the world around us because we feel as though it is irrelevant to our existence.

HOLLAND, MI - “For Frank Sinatra is normal.” Celebrities, no matter what caliber, are still human beings. People may hold them up on a pedestal, gawk at pictures of them, or even faint at the mere sight of them in public; but they are no different from the rest of us—other than being famous.
